This affect is almost like a law of nature, nothing to be ashamed about. All we can do is try to live a HAES Life and get as much exercise as possible.
Very succinct visual representation of the real effects of dieting, or as I put it mentally when people crow about how thin they've become: "Give it 5 years, then get back to me."
Exactly why I had to stop dieting. I'm new to Size Acceptance, but thankfully, another of my friends had found it and has been preaching the word. I think it saved what little sanity I have left!
I've lost a lot of weights on diets over the years. I've lost on a variety of accepted diets including liquid diet with high protein. I can lose weight. But keeping it off is tough. I have taken all the nutrition/exercise classes to go with those diets so am well informed. I'm a trained and educated medical professional as a veterinarian. I blame those drops in weight as a component to my After After which tends to be about 20% more than my Before. I'm new to HAES and am delving into it as I owe that to myself. Heck, I owe a lot to myself, not just HAES philosophy and self love. Thank you for your post.
My name is Elizabeth Tamny. I am a GenX-er who's been involved in size acceptance in diff ways since c. 10 B.I. [Before Internet].
This blog is about issues of size as and when I see and am interested in them, which can mean size acceptance, media, clothing, language, art, movies . . . whatevs. Good, bad, infuriating, beautiful. A scrapbook.
My other blog is here.Note: postings earlier than 2/6/10 are from that blog.
